Frequently Asked Questions

Where are classes held?

Classes are held in the intimate purpose built studio at my home by east Brighton park. With ample free parking and easy access to buses.

How many people to a class?

Each class will be a maximum of 4 people (2 to a pole) except for heels and this will be 3 people 4 including myself so I can ensure everyone gets enough time to feel comfortable with the choreography.

The studio is intimate by design, as someone who struggled attending my first pole class due to the idea of a full class of potentially 10/12 people filling me with nerves I wanted to make something that felt a little less overwhelming.

Is the studio accessible?

The studio has a small step up and over the door frame and is otherwise easily accessible.

Are there toilets/changing rooms on site?

Although there are no toilets or changing room within the actual studio, students will of course be welcome to use the house toilet.

Who can do pole?

Everybody is a pole body! You don’t have to be strong or flexible to start, you don’t need any dance/gymnastics background. All the strength and flexibility you need will be worked towards in a safe and progressive way. Each move will be a stepping stone to the next, preparing your body properly for each move.

What do i need to know before my first class?

  • No moisturiser (including fake tans) or shaving roughly 24hrs before class as this can make skin grip incredibly difficult.

  • All jewellery that may come into contact with the pole is to be removed before the class starts to prevent damaging the poles (specifically rings/bracelets/anklets and watches including smart and fitness watches)

  • Please remember to bring water, pole is hard work and you will get warmer than you might think. Especially in the summer months

  • Bruising….its going to happen, you’ve worked hard for them so be proud of them

  • Clothing, this is where it gets uncomfortable for some. I would suggest leggings/joggers and a vest with some shorts and a sports bra underneath.

  • If you are not comfortable in shorts etc they are now plenty of choices for grippy pole wear such as leggings and bodysuits.
